I admit, I don’t often read fiction. That’s why I joined a book club that only reads fiction. It pushes me.

Most of the books we have read I wouldn’t put on my bookshelf to share with you but this one makes the cut. It’s based on a true story of a forgotten hero and it reads like fiction. Perhaps that’s why I liked it. Hum… have to think about that one.

It is an epic tale of one young man’s incredible courage and resilience during one of history’s darkest hours. This book was liked by everyone in the book club which is saying something.

It’s soon to be a major television movie so read it first!
