Conative Connection

by Kathy Kolbe

This book attempts to uncover the link between who you are and how you preform.  It offers insight into why we do things the way we do, enabling us to harness, rather than work against the tremendous power of our what she terms "striving instincts".

I am always fascinated with human behavior and what makes people tick.  Kolbe breaks people down into four basic categories utilized by various personality and behavioral assessment and proceeds to predict and explain the resultant behaviors of each.  While I think she has some strong biases against MBTI I still found the book helpful.

I had mixed feeling about adding this book to the bookshelf but because I do recommend it a lot, especially to partners who are different from one another, I decided to include it.
